Question: What Does Conversion Optimisation Mean?

Since conversion optimisation is a relatively under-developed field on the web (at least in Australia), I’m doing a little bit of research to try and find out what people generally think conversion optimisation is about. This should help me understand what level of posts I should be publishing.

    What does conversion optimisation involve?
    Optimising the wording of advertisements on websites to “hook” more people.

    How do you measure success?
    More people click on to your advertisement and follow it through with inquiries/interst in your product/buying your product.

    What is the appeal of conversion optimisation?
    To attract people’s attention to your advertisement and engage their interest and optimize your chances of making money.
